As an importing company, our daily business operations revolve around using computers. With a slow and outdated computer system, we were due for an upgrade. Canacomp was able to provide the answer to improve our business.

We initially needed a system which would allow all employees to access company information on the network whether they were in the office or anywhere in the world where the internet could be accessed. Canacomp provided us with a solution by offering us Microsoft’s Small Business Server running on an HP Proliant system. Having a server enabled us to be virtually in front of our desktop computers from anywhere in the world. We can be at our desk whether we’re in Hong Kong or simply across the city thanks to Canacomp and the remote access capabilities of the Small Business Server. With a server, Canacomp was also able to centralize our information and provide access to everyone on the network. This included any received faxes, accounting activities, e-mails and any other information that needed to be shared amongst network users.

Installation of the new system was a smooth transition. We were hesitant at the amount of time it would take for us to get back up and running at normal pace, but to our surprise, it did not take very long. The next day, business operations were faster and more efficient than ever before. Canacomp truly made our lives easier and less stressful! Following installation, we had some questions regarding fax retrieval. Canacomp’s technicians were on call and helped solve our problems without even having to come to our office! They were able to log onto our computers with our permission and perform the tasks needed to rectify the problems we were having.
